The Narrow Lutheran Middle

This page contains two ways to assist the presenter in teaching the material from the book The Narrow Lutheran Middle by Daniel M. Deutschlander.

The first uses 20–30-minute video introductions for the successive sections of the material with associated class notes. The second is for a more classic presentation with PowerPoint slides and class notes. The presenter should place the dates of the class sessions on the syllabus for the convenience of the students.

This course presents the material from a book that discusses the challenges a Christian faces while trying to avoid the ditches and to remain on the road of faith that is taught in the Scriptures. The book is necessary to understand the course. To gain the most from this course, it is recommended that you print out the Class Notes-V packet, do the assigned readings, and answer the study questions before each class session. The class notes contain the syllabus & questions. The class segments were recorded in the spring of 2024. PowerPoint slides are provided, but they are not necessary to teach the course. The Teaching Notes are enhanced class notes to aid the presenter.
