It offers an overview of Lutheran teaching on the subject and wrestles with some practical applications. “Formula of Concord Article VI Concerning the 3rd Use of the Law” is a paper that examines how Lutheran pastors preach the law as guide to the kinds of good works God seeks from his children. It set the discussion in the context of Second Antinomian Controversy and how the Formula of Concord resolved that dispute. It then seeks to apply those principles to pastors today.
